About Me
Hi! I am Ken Ming.
Tan Ken Ming was formally diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome with comorbid inattentiveness. Born in 1998, his early development was typical. He first showed signs of having a disorder at the age of one, whereby his development slowed drastically and soon after he started showing signs of hyperactivity. His parents brought him for assessments during his formative years, and he attended speech and occupational therapies. During his early primary school education, he was guided by a clinical psychologist, Dr. Lua, who worked with special needs children. This has helped him to develop his language skills and basic social skills.
Ken Ming has always had a passion for art, drawing from the moment he could hold a pencil properly. He was sent to art classes since young and attended classes in an Art College after his secondary education in IGCSE. He continued to pursue his passion in art, learning painting techniques from various teachers. He is now producing artworks on his own with support of his family. Several of his early pieces have been sold, with the proceeds going to various charities.
Besides painting, Ken Ming enjoys reading, travelling and watching movies especially anime series where he draws inspirations from for his artworks.
